Fact 1: Empowering Le Refuge with Data-driven Fundraising
Artefact is proud to collaborate with Le Refuge, a distinguished French NGO dedicated to providing shelter and support for young individuals facing discrimination based on their sexual orientation or gender identity. Through our data-driven approach, we are actively working to empower Le Refuge and amplify their impact.
Precision marketing plays a vital role in fundraising, enabling organizations to target the right audiences with tailored messages. By leveraging data analytics and insights, we are assisting Le Refuge in reaching potential donors and supporters more effectively. Our strategies focus on identifying the most relevant channels, optimizing messaging, and maximizing the efficiency of fundraising campaigns. This data-driven approach not only increases the likelihood of generating greater financial support but also enhances the organization’s overall visibility and awareness.
Additionally, we recognize the importance of grant-spending reporting for transparency and accountability. Through data analytics, we facilitate the accurate and comprehensive reporting of how funds are utilized by Le Refuge. By providing transparent and evidence-based reports, we strengthen the trust and confidence of donors, partners, and stakeholders in the organization’s operations.
As we continue this collaborative journey with Le Refuge, we are committed to refining our data-driven strategies and exploring innovative approaches that will drive even greater fundraising success. Stay tuned for further updates on the progress and impact of our partnership, as together, we work towards creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for marginalized LGBT+ youth.
Fact 2: Addressing Biases through the Artefact Research Center
Artefact Research Center: Addressing Biases Beyond LGBT+
Observing the alarming instances of untrustworthy AI and biassed algorithms, it has become evident that the consequences of unchecked biases can have far-reaching implications. Examples like AppleCard granting mortgages based on racist criteria, Lensa AI sexualizing selfies of women, and racist Facebook image classification highlight the urgent need for action.
To confront these challenges head-on, we established a dedicated Research Center in 2022, led by Emmanuel Malherbe. The primary focus of this center is to delve into these critical issues and develop new methodologies and models that can thoroughly test our solutions and build trustworthy AI models.
By investing in research, we strive to eradicate biases that emerge in AI systems, not only related to the LGBT+ community but across various genders, ages or ethnicities. Our objective is to ensure that AI technology is fair, transparent, and accountable, contributing to a more just and equitable future. We do not claim that we are solving all bias related problems, but you have our word: we are not afraid to ask the right questions.
Data is indeed about people, all people, and at Artefact, we understand the weight of this responsibility. Through our collaboration with Le Refuge, we aim to make a positive difference in the lives of young marginalised individuals. Simultaneously, our dedicated research center under the guidance of Emmanuel Malherbe is actively working to address biases and build trustworthy AI models.
By taking concrete actions to confront the challenges posed by the not-so-inclusive present context, we strive to create a future where data-driven technologies empower and uplift all individuals, irrespective of their backgrounds. It is through these collective efforts that we can ensure that data truly serves the betterment of humanity.
