Paris, January 8, 2025
To highlight the lack of women in artificial intelligence professions, Women@Artefact, Artefact’s collective dedicated to advancing women’s careers in tech, and Artefact 3000, the group’s creative agency, have joined forces to present a powerful film titled L’Afterwork. This original creation, blending societal commitment with technological innovation, aims to amplify the voices of women in artificial intelligence.
In this short film, entirely created using AI technologies, three women meet over drinks, engaging in a lively discussion about their professional lives. However, their robotic voices are strikingly unusual. They are not ordinary women—they represent iconic virtual assistants of modern technology, sharing their frustrations and personal stories.
“If someone had told me I’d become a tech star by being an assistant…” sighs one of them. This remark highlights a very real issue: only 19% of senior management positions in AI are held by women (1).
The film ends with a strong message:
“AI calls for more women. Let’s give them a bigger voice.”
A visionary blend of creativity and technology
Created by Artefact 3000, this film showcases the agency’s unique expertise in crafting content that merges technological innovation with a strong societal message. “L’Afterwork” reflects a commitment to redefining the role of women in tech, urging AI companies to embrace greater diversity within their teams.
An afterwork designed to amplify the message
To mark the release of the film in early January 2025, Women@Artefact is hosting a special event on January 23, 2025, in the form of an afterwork at Artefact’s headquarters.
The evening is dedicated to women interested in exploring career opportunities in artificial intelligence and data. Participants will also have the chance to connect with HR team members for more in-depth discussions, should they wish to do so.
For the occasion, Artefact is delighted to welcome Angela Naser, Director of Women In Tech France, the international organization dedicated to promoting the inclusion of girls in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). She will share her strong commitment to the cause and her personal experience as a woman in tech.
The event will feature talks, discussions, networking opportunities, and meetings with inspiring leaders. It embodies Artefact’s dedication to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for women in the tech industry.
“Artificial intelligence is shaping the world of tomorrow, but its true transformative potential can only be realized by fully embracing female talent. Achieving this requires better education, access to tailored training, and a strong commitment to increasing women’s representation—whether in research labs, finance and investment funds, or at the helm of CAC 40 companies.
This afterwork is a vital step in building connections, inspiring new career paths, and amplifying the voices of women in tech “Angela Nasser, Director of Women in Tech
“At Artefact, we firmly believe that AI should reflect the diversity of our society. Achieving this requires a clear commitment: amplifying the voices of women in tech and providing them with the tools to thrive in these fields. Through initiatives like Women@Artefact and projects such as L’Afterwork, we go beyond raising awareness—we are actively building a future where every talent, whether female or male, can find their place and make a meaningful impact.”Justine Nerce, Managing Partner Artefact
Through Artefact 3000 and Women@Artefact, the Artefact group continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering a more diverse and equitable tech industry.
